What You May Catch

We put the boat in the water as early in the season as possible, usually mid May, but every year is different based on the weather. June and July brings some of the best fishing action with a mixed bag of king and coho salmon, rainbow, brown and lake trout. August,  and till our season ends in the end of September is the typical time to catch the big king salmon. Every day is a new fishing day. These fish are here all summer and can bite at anytime. Lake Michigan conditions change hourly with wind, weather, and water temperature. The fish tend to have a biting spurt at sunrise and sunset when the light conditions change.  Heavy boat traffic days can spook the fish and we have to share them with more boats. We target all species of salmon and trout to provide the best catch possible for the day.  A Limit Catch is the WI daily bag limit of 5 fish per person.
